The DEER

We have had such a harsh, severe winter that the deer population has suffered great losses. Our winter came too early and the snow cover was at times 35-40 inches deep. The deer were starving and coming up to eat the shrubs in front of the house. 

Right out my kitchen window! 

In the bed I made for them.

I fixed them up with plenty of good hay, salt block and corn. Plus a heated water bucket!

They first appeared at noon on Christmas Day .

 She looks right at me frequently!
