Zoey
born Sept. 19. 2003

Zoey and Elizabeth

Zoey at 16 months of age just passed her Therapy Dogs Inc. Certification She is the youngest in the Edward  Hospital program.

CONGRATULATIONS  ZOEY!

Zoey ready to visit.

Home and Healing!

Zoey had PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosis)
surgery on 12/17/03. She has internal stitches. The small hole was for an oxygen tube to be inserted to keep her lung inflated while they tied off the pulmonary artery. The shaved patch on her rear was for the epidural they gave her for pain. All four of the bottom of her feet were shaved for the electrode hookups for monitoring. On her other side they shaved a section for the ultrasound to be attached during the surgery. Her front legs were also shaved for the IV's.

Zoey says - whew! I'm glad that is over!

She has never acted sick in any way and aside from her incision and patchwork hairstyle you would never know she had surgery! She's doing GREAT! Huge Thank you to Dr. Bari Olivier and his 4th year students at MSU, Dr. William A. Brown, Zoey's Cardiologist and to Dr. Ann Marie Baker.
